Tyler Scott Morton (born 31 October 2002) is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liverpool, having come through the academy.
Liverpool career[]
Morton joined the Liverpool Academy at the age of seven, and was seen as a big talent as he progressed through the youth sides.
He began featuring for the U18s side in the 2019-20 season, and a year later was a big part of the team that reached the final of the FA Youth Cup, playing the full 90 minutes as the Reds were defeated 2-1 by Aston Villa.
In the summer of 2021, Morton was included in the first-team squad for pre-season, making a his first senior appearances and quietly impressing. On 21 September 2021, Morton made his Liverpool debut, coming on as a half-time substitute in a 3-0 win over Norwich in the EFL Cup. The youngster put in a quality performance as the Reds ran out 3-0 winners, with Jurgen Klopp describing it as a "super game".
On 20 November 2021, he made his Premier League debut, coming on as a late substitute in a 4-0 win over Arsenal. Four days later, Morton started in the Champions League, putting in an assured display in a 2-0 win over Porto.
On 19 December 2021, Morton made his first Premier League start for the club. With the team missing multiple key personel in midfield, Morton came in from the start and played for the first hour in a cagey 2-2 draw away to Tottenham.
