Tom Brewitt (born 11 February 1997) is an English footballer who played as a defender for the Liverpool Academy until 2017.
Liverpool career[]
Brewitt joined Liverpool as an U11 player, and progressed through the ranks to make his debut for the U18s in the 2012-13 season. He clocked up five appearances during that season, before becoming a prominent member of the team during the 2013-14 season, in which he made 20 appearances and netted once- in a 3-1 win over Stoke on 9 November 2013. He usually plays as a centre-back, and struck up a steady partnership with Daniel Cleary with the U18s.
He is described by Liverpool as "a committed defender, who possesses a fine positional sense out on the field. An intelligent player, the youngster is comfortable in possession."
On 10 June 2016, it was announced that Brewitt was leaving the club after his contract expired, but it then later confirmed that his addition on the released players list was a mistake and that he had now agreed a long term extension to his contract to stay at Liverpool F.C.
A year later, it was confirmed that Brewitt had moved to Championship side, Middlesbrough on a free transfer.
