Taiwo Awoniyi Michael (born 12 August 1997) is a Nigerian footballer who plays as a striker for Liverpool.
Liverpool career
On 31 August 2015, it was confirmed that the Nigerian had signed for the club for a reported fee of £800,000, potentially rising to £3,000,000. The striker was immediately sent out on loan to Frankfurt for the 2015-16 season.
After two disappointing loan spells, Awoniyi was sent out to Royal Excel Mouscron in the Belgian League. The Nigerian put in some much improved performances, bagging nine goals throughout the 2017-18 season.
On 17 July 2018, Awoniyi signed a new long-term contract with the club.
