Liverpool career[]
In January 2005, it was confirmed that Liverpool had fought off competition from Chelsea to complete the signing of Carson for a fee of £750,000 from Leeds United. Carson made his Liverpool debut in a 1-0 defeat to Newcastle on 5 March 2005. Carson made three consecutive appearances in April, including the Champions League Quarter Final first leg against Juventus.
Carson's Liverpool career never really got off the ground and after three loan spells to Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton Athletic and Aston Villa, Carson was sold to West Brom in 2008 for a fee of £3,750,000.
