Ryan Crump (born 2 October 1995) is an English-born Scottish footballer who played as a goalkeeper for the Liverpool Academy.
Liverpool career[]
Ryan Crump joined Liverpool from Welsh side Wrexham as an Under 14-level footballer. He progressed through the Academy to become a member of the Under 18 squad for the 2012-13 season. His time at the Under 18s was largely spent on the bench as back up during that season, first to Tyrell Belford and then to Ryan Fulton. He was only able to make two appearances for the U18s during the season. In addition to his step-up to the Under 18s, Crump was named as a member of Liverpool's 2012-13 NextGen Series squad, however he failed to make an appearance in the competition. In the 2013-14 season, Crump took a more prominent role in the U18s side as he made 18 appearances.
In the summer of 2014, it was confirmed that Crump had permanently moved to Championship side Blackburn Rovers.
Playing style[]
Crump is highly regarded at Kirkby, and is described by the club as "a tall, athletic goalkeeper [who] is reliable and a solid last line of defence whenever he plays."
