Peter Aylmer (born 12 February 1994) is an English footballer who played as a defender for the Liverpool Academy. He departed the club in the summer of 2012.
Liverpool career[]
Aylmer is a product of the Liverpool Youth Academy who plays primarily as a centre back, however he is versatile, capable of filling in the of centre midfield and at right back. He first appeared for the Reds' youth sides in the 2008-09 season and went on to play a part in the under-18s side of the 2010-11 season. Whilst Aylmer struggled to play many matches for the under-18s, he did score what Liverpoolfc.tv rated as the 8th best Academy goal in the 2010-11 season- a powerful, long-range dipping shot into the top left corner in a match against Exeter City. After initially enjoying a good run in the under-18s side at the start of the 2011-12 season, Aylmer again struggled to get much game time and was released by Liverpool at the end of the campaign.
