Eccleston was signed from Burnley at the age of 15 in 2006. Eccleston quickly rose through the ranks at the youth and reserves, to win his first place in a senior squad when he was named in the Champions League squad on 6 September 2009. His first start came shortly after on 28 October 2009 against Arsenal in a League Cup tie. He played his first League match for Liverpool against Fulham on 31 October 2009, coming on as a 78th minute substitute for [[Yossi Benayoun]].

Nathan Geoffrey Junior Eccleston (born 30 December 1990) is an English professional footballer currently playing as a striker for Liverpool. He has also had loan spells at Huddersfield and Charlton.
