Milos Kerkez (born 7 November 2003) is a Hungarian international footballer who currently plays as a left-back for Liverpool, signing from Bournemouth in 2025.

Liverpool career[]

Throughout the 2024-25 season, concerns were raised over the performances of Andy Robertson. The stalwart defender was in his eight season at the club, but a number of high-profile errors, alongside a perceived loss of legs and energy meant that the Scot came under a lot of criticism throughout the campaign. Despite this, Robertson was able to help Liverpool to the championship, starting 29 league games as the Reds won their 20th title, with Kostas Tsimikas often stepping in as an able deputy.

At the same time, Milos Kerkez began to announce himself to the Premier League. After a solid first season at Bournemouth, the Hungarian international was a revelation, as his high-energy attacking performances helped the Cherries to their highest Premier League points title, with the club being acclaimed for their impressive and intensive performances under Andoni Iraola. The left-backs performances through the campaign led to him being nominated for PFA Young Player of the Year, and it was reported that multiple big clubs were keeping an eye on him.

Towards the end of the season, reports began linking Kerkez with a move to Anfield. Throughout June, the move began to be an open-secret, with both the player's family and teammates talking about it as if it were a done deal.

On 26 June 2025, it was confirmed that Kerkez had officially signed for Liverpool, for a reported fee of around £40,000,000.

Kerkez made his Liverpool debut on 13 July 2025, in a friendly win over Preston. On 1 August, it was announced that he would take the number 6 shirt for the 2025-26 season, last worn by Thiago.

On 10 August 2025, Kerkez made his competitive debut, starting and playing 84 minutes as the Reds lost in the Community Shield to Crystal Palace.
