Michael Roberts (born 5 December 1991) is an English footballer who plays for the Liverpool Reserves as a midfielder.
Liverpool career
Liverpool signed Liverpudlian Roberts from cross city rivals Tranmere Rovers in 2008. He made his debut for the under-18s in the 2007-08 season, before going on to be a key member of the side for the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons. He has since progressed to be a regular in the reserves, and this season it is the second string that he solely plays for.
A defensive midfielder by trade, Liverpool describe him as a player who is not afraid to put in a good tackle, and is also commended for his simple but effective passing game.
