Liverpool careerEdit

McGiveron is a product of the Liverpool Youth Academy who plays as a centre back, and is also a useful right back. McGiveron broke into the youth squads in the 2009-10 season and was an established key man for the Academy in 2010-11, making 29 appearances. McGiveron possesses an impressive long throw that was used by the Academy as an offensive weapon in matches.

In the 2011-12 season, McGiveron was promoted to the Reserves squad, however he was only able to make 4 appearances for the side. He appeared more prominently in the NextGen Series, however he was unable to earn himself the new deal he needed to remain at Liverpool and left the club at the end of the campaign.
