Lewis William Hatch (born 4 September 1994) is an English footballer who played for the Liverpool Academy and Reserves as a midfielder. He departed the club in the summer of 2012.
Liverpool career[]
Described as a tidy midfielder with a good range of passing, Liverpudlian Hatch progressed through the ranks at Liverpool to reach the under-18s. He has been unlucky with injuries hampering his progress in the past, however he made his debut for the team in the 2010-11 Academy Under 18s season, also making the matchday squad for the Reserves that season. He was considered one of the key players for the under-18s in the 2011-12 season, making 20 out of a possible 29 appearances for the side. Despite his progress however, in 2012 the club decided not to retain Hatch after the 2011-12 season. Hatch tweeted his disappointment on 29 March 2012, stating: "Sad to say I won't be a Liverpool player next season. Looking forward to a new challenge but will miss the club I've been at for 12 years." On 22 April 2012, Lewis revealed on Twitter that he is joining League 2 club Accrington Stanley for first team football for the 2012-13 season.
