Jarell Amorin Quansah (born 29 January 2003) is an English footballer who plays as a centre-back for Liverpool, having come through the academy.

Liverpool career

An academy graduate, Quansah joined the club at the age of five, having grown up in nearby Warrington. The youngster rose through the ranks at the club, appearing at every level and eventually coming to captain the U18s side. He played a starring role in the road to the 2021 FA Youth Cup final, and led the Reds out as they were beaten by Aston Villa.

Quansah signed his first professional contract with the club in February 2021, and received his first involvement in the first-team squad later that year, twice appearing on the substitutes bench in matches against Tottenham and Leicester in December.

The youngster made his first-team breakthrough in the summer of 2023, being involved in the majority of Liverpool’s pre-season friendlies and putting in some assured performances.

On 27 August 2023, Quansah made his competitive debut for the club, coming on as a late substitute and impressing as a ten-man Liverpool side came from a goal down to win away at Newcastle. A week later he made his Anfield debut, again as a late substitute in a 3-0 win over Aston Villa.
