Henoc John Mukendi (born 20 November 1993) is a Congolese footballer who played as a striker for the Liverpool Academy and Reserves.

Liverpool career[]

Mukendi signed for the Liverpool Academy in 2007. He is a tall, powerful centre forward who can also play wide left. He made his first appearance for the Under 18s during 2010-11 pre season matches, and went on to make 9 appearances during the season, scoring 2 goals. On 30 March 2011, Mukendi debuted for the Reserves as a second half substitute in a Lancashire Cup defeat to Preston North End.

He had a similar 2011-12 season in which he featured only intermittently for the Under 18s, making 13 appearances and again netting two goals. As with his goals from the 2010-11 season, both of these goals came in one game. He did not manage to feature for the Reserves during the season, however he did make the bench for one game of the NextGen Series. On 28 March 2012, Mukendi announced on his Twitter account that he had been offered a professional contract with Liverpool, stating "I got offered my 1st professional contract at Liverpool Fc today :D !!! #happy." He will enter the 2012-13 season as a third year scholar with the Academy.

However on 6 August 2012, Mukendi announced on his Twitter page that he would be moving on loan to League Two side Northampton Town for the season, following in the footsteps of former Academy teammate Toni Silva. He returned to Liverpool in January 2013, but was only able to make one appearance for the U21s in their season. On 19 July 2013, Mukendi signed for Scottish Premier League club Partick Thistle on loan until 1 January 2014.

The loan was not to last however, and in March 2014, Mukendi suggested on his Twitter account that he had been released by Liverpool.
