Gerard Houllier (born 3 September 1947 — died 14 December 2020) was a French football manager, who managed Liverpool from 1998 to 2004. Houllier is credited with modernising the club after a difficult decade, and returned the club to winning ways, most notably with a famous cup treble in 2001.
