Toni Brito Silva Sa (born 15 September 1993) is a Bissau-Guinean-born Portuguese footballer who played for the Liverpool Reserves and Academy from 2009 to 2012.

Liverpool career[]

Silva signed for Liverpool in the summer of 2009 from Benfica's youth set up amid interest from several of Europe's top clubs. Silva was given a trial with Fulham's youth side, and performed well in a 3-1 defeat against Liverpool, however it was the Reds who then followed up the interest they had in the player and signed him for approximately £300,000. Silva is a tall player, well regarded for his dribbling skills and tricks with the ball. Silva scored on his debut for the Academy, in September 2009 whilst on trial against Barnsley after coming on as a substitute for Michael Ngoo.

Silva was used on both flanks for the Academy, and looked comfortable on either. He showed an eye for goal, and finished the 2010-11 Academy season with stats of 10 goals in 29 appearances, making him the fourth highest goalscorer in the Academy, behind Adam Morgan, Ngoo and Raheem Sterling. Two of Silva's goals came in a match against Manchester United, with both goals featuring in Liverpoolfc.tv's top 10 Academy goals of the season. In the same season, he appeared for the Reserves and also made progress in the Portugal youth set up.

In the 2011-12 season, Silva was promoted to the Reserves. He put in a number of impressive performances- particularly in the NextGen Series, in which he also added some goals to his name. On 14 February 2012, it was confirmed that Silva had joined Northampton Town on a loan initially spanning 28 days, however this was extended to the end of the season on 21 February.

In something of a surprise move, on 23 July 2012, it was confirmed that Silva had completed a free transfer to Barnsley. He left Liverpool having never made a first team appearance.
