Damien Plessis (born 5 March 1988) is a French footballer who played for Liverpool from 2007-2010, making three league appearances. He left Liverpool in 2010, joining Greek side Panathinaikos.
Liverpool career
Plessis joined Liverpool from French club Lyon on 31 August 2007 for an undisclosed fee (believed to be around £2,500,000). Manager Rafael Benitez said "he is a good player, big and strong, and we're sure he'll do well for us. He's only a young boy with plenty of time to work on his game but it depends on his progress how quickly he can force his way into the first team" upon signing the French youngster.
He made his league debut against Arsenal on 5 April 2008 in a 1-1 stalemate. Plessis' Liverpool career failed to materialise making just eight appearances in his three seasons at Anfield, scoring a single goal in a League Cup tie against Tottenham on 12 November 2008. He was sold to Greek club Panathinaikos on 31 August 2010.
