Caoimhin Odhran Kelleher (born 23 November 1998) is an Irish international footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Liverpool, having come through the Academy.
Liverpool career[]
Kelleher joined the Liverpool F.C. Academy in 2015, at just sixteen. The Irishman immediately went into the U18s side, and after just a year began to feature in the club's U23s team, competing with Kamil Grabara in goal.
In the summer of 2018, Kelleher was brought into the first-team squad for pre-season, and made his senior debut, featuring in a few friendlies. On 5 January 2019, Kelleher featured in a competitive squad for the first time, appearing on the substitutes bench for a 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Wolves. He was also included on the bench for the Champions League final victory, picking up a winners' medal before making a competitive appearance.
On 25 September 2019, Kelleher made his first Liverpool start, impressing and keeping a clean-sheet in a 2-0 League Cup win away to MK Dons. A month later, he made his Anfield debut, starting in the fourth-round against Arsenal. Kelleher made himself a hero, saving a penalty in the shootout win after a 5-5 draw.
At the start of 2021, Kelleher had been promoted to Liverpool's second choice goalkeeper, ahead of Adrian after a series of strong performances in December 2020. He renewed his contract under improved terms on 24th June 2021.
