Liverpool career[]
With all three of Liverpool's senior centre-backs ruled out for the rest of the season, recruitments were needed for Jurgen Klopp's side to maintain a defence of their Premier League title. On 31 January 2021, rumours began to emerge that a move for Preston's Ben Davies was in the works before the transfer deadline.
A day later, it was confirmed that Davies had made the move to Anfield, signing for a fee of just £1,600,000, the first of two deadline day signings for the Reds, with Ozan Kabak also making a loan move from Schalke.
Despite making this move however, Davies failed to make an appearance for Liverpool in the remainder of the campaign.
On 16 August 2021, it was confirmed that Davies would spend the 2021-22 season at Sheffield United.
Davies returned to Liverpool in the summer of 2022, and was given the number 24 shirt, with Fabio Carvalho taking the 28 shirt. On 19 July 2022, it was confirmed that Davies had signed for Rangers, for a fee of around £4,000,000.
