Andrea Dossena (born 11 September 1981) is an Italian footballer who played as a left-back for Liverpool from 2008-2010. He joined Napoli having scored two goals in 31 games for Liverpool.
Liverpool career[]
Dossena signed for Liverpool on 4 July 2008 from Udinese for a fee reported to be £7,000,000, he was given the number 2 shirt. His league debut came in a win against Sunderland on 16 August 2008, but he was used sparingly due to the presence of Fabio Aurelio and Emiliano Insua. He scored twice in the 2008-09 season, with goals against Manchester United and Real Madrid.
After failing to establish himself as first choice left-back for Liverpool, Dossena was sold to Napoli on 8 January 2010 for £4,250,000. During his time on Merseyside he made 31 appearances in all competitions, and scored two goals.
