The 2023-24 season was Liverpool's 132nd season of football since they were established. The Reds competed in the Europa League for the first time since 2015-16, having finished 5th in the previous campaign. It proved to be Jurgen Klopp’s final season as manager, with it announced in January that he would be leaving at the end of the campaign. The Reds brought silverware back to Anfield with a triumph over Chelsea in the EFL Cup, but their challenges in other competitions faltered with a poor run in March and April.
