Liverpool won the 2003 League Cup Final, beating Man Utd 2-0 on 2 March 2003 at the Millenium Stadium, Cardiff. Going into the match as underdogs, Liverpool took the lead in the 39th minute from a deflected 25 year strike from Steven Gerrard.
